Pooch Playtime specializes in providing care, exercise, play, behavior correction, and affection for dogs and other companion animals. Jessie West is the primary dog walker, pet care provider, and co-owner of Pooch Playtime. Jessie has achieved Certification through the National Association of Professional Pet Sitters, including Pet First Aid. She also volunteers at the Spartanburg Humane Society. From the Backyard to the Barnyard, Jessie's love for and skill with animals is extensive. She bought her first horse with baby-sitting money at age 13! She has developed her approach and expertise with animals through years of experience combined with specific lessons learned while rescuing and rehabilitating a wild dog in 2005.

How long have you been in business?
Pet sitting and house sitting has long been a part-time occupation so in December, 2008 I took the plunge and licensed my business and went full-time. This includes full insurance and bonding and Pet Care certification including Pet First Aid.
What is your primary product or service?
We focus primarily on Pet Sitting and Dog Walking. Home and concierge services are also available - usually at no charge when included with a pet sitting contract.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Pets and farm animals have been a significant part of my entire life. At one time I was responsible for 3 horses, 100 chickens, 3 pigs, 6 breeding ewes, 2 dogs, and 1 cat. Over the years I have cared for a variety of companion animals. This business is a natural extension of my personal interests combined with over 17 years of business management experience.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We are a professional, certified, insured in-your-home pet care service provider. While I used to be a "kid next door" pet sitter, our business provides a whole lot more than a friend, neighbor, or family member normally provides. We provide many benefits to your pets and to you:

Jessie West is the co-owner and general manager.
What are your hours of operation?
Business hours are 8 am to 6 pm seven days a week. Our services are provided per contract terms 24/7.
